This procedure should be use to limit access to the Microsoft Operative system. It is useful because users can accidentally manipulate Windows and affect the correct use of the edinn platform.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Open the registry editor (regedit.exe) with administrator permission.
  2. Search for this entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
  3. Change [Shell], from value explorer.exe to:
    • If Windows 64 bits: "C:\Program Files (x86)\edinn\edinnM2\Client\m2start.exe"
    • If Windows 32 bits: "C:\Program Files\edinn\edinnM2\Client\m2start.exe"

NOTE: if you installed the edinn M2 Terminal application in a different path, you should use that path instead of the indicated above.
  1. Close your Windows user session.
  2. Log in Windows: you should not see Windows but just the edinn M2 Terminal application instead.

NOTE: To restore Windows as it was, change the indicated [Shell] value back to explorer.exe
